PE, Language and Math all integrated!

Last Thursday our last subject in class was PE. Before we go out of the class Ms. Dwi review our last English lesson about Verb (kata kerja), Adjective (kata sifat) and Noun (kata benda). She said that we are going to sort those words and do it in PE lesson. Hmmm...how would we do English together with PE?

So,the class went outside and did some warming up lead by Aradi and Zharfan. After that we go down stairs. Ms, Dwi explained how to play the game. There is a basket with word from the verbs, adjectives, and nouns. We are divided into 3 groups for each word. Each person from each group must take one word according to their group's name (whether is a noun group, verb group or adjective group). After taking one word the group then must hop in a hullahoop and wait until all member of the group is completed. The fun part of PE was, Ms. Dwi said the rule is that we are not allowed to run to get the words and go to the hullahoop. We must use another creative way, like; crawling, jumping, walking backwards and many other ways.

It was real fun and tiring. Each person that has the correct card according their group's name and are able to stay in the hoop until all member are completed will get 5 point. Extra 10 point bonus is for the first group to complete. But, if one member has the wrong answer then our 5 point is taken away. So we must be a thinker and think carefully about the points.

After that the reflection was, each person must take one word for each verb, noun and adjective and put them in the hoop. Then we go around and read them, whether is in the correct hoop or not.

There is English words sorting, math counting scores and PE movement of crawling, jumping and balancing in the hoop.So many subject in one activity. Ms. Dwi said its called integrated subject.
